‘On Your Feet Britain’ have said that by sitting at our desks for hours on end, we could be really damaging our health.

We’ve all been guilty of trying to cram in some last minute exercise to help alleviate the guilt of sitting glued to our screens all day. But hitting the gym straight after work doesn’t actually reverse the problems that sitting still for long periods of time can create.

Even people that feel as though they take regular exercise outside of the working day, and would class themselves as fit, are at risk of health problems if they sit still all day.

When it comes to business, it’s so important to make sure that you do everything in your power to ensure your workforce have a great working environment. If you’ve got happy and healthy staff, you’ll undoubtedly raise their productivity. Sitting still for hours on end could actually stint creativity.

Offices aren’t designed for our health, and with 45% of women and 37% of men spending less than 30 minutes a day on their feet at work, it’s an issue that needs to be addressed!

If your staff take their eyes off the ball, your business could suffer.

Have a think about how you could get your office up and moving. If it helps the health of your employees AND their productivity, it’s got to be worth it!

Now that’s something to think about…

…have a brilliant day!
